50 Word Statement on the Problem and Solution:

    Bumpers protect the automobile in small collisions and passengers in large collisions.  Bumpers should protect passengers and cars in collisions.  Bumpers, put inside and around the car, will "pop" out before a collision.  This bumper is an airbag surrounding rubber, leaving space between bumper and car, decreasing the collision impact.

ISTF Project #03-665 was developed in response to the 2003-2004 Internet Science and Technology Fair
