ISTF Project # 08 - 1868 was developed in response to the 2008-2009 Internet Science and Technology Fair.
The problem our group is addressing is the limited body movements of quadriplegics and the needed ability to do daily tasks; without external help, these people cannot perform their normal routine. We plan to help these people and their families by giving them the freedom and mobility that they deserve.
Our solution is to improve quadriplegics’s lives by providing them with a custom-made suit that will allow them to have mobility of his or her own body. This suit will be controlled by a transmitter that has receivers embedded into the clothing, while providing the wearer with a casual look.
