Teaming and Communication
Teaming and communication is essential for any important project, and our group was able to communicate and work efficiently throughout the development of this project. At first, working as a team was a bit difficult, but with focus and perseverance, we were able to effectively divide the work up between each other and get the job done. We consistently sent emails to each other for peer editing of each component, and our teacher, Mr. Nodarse, also provided helpful feedback on our website. Overall, the team worked diligently to have this project done in a timely manner.
Research and Innovation
Research is a time-consuming process of looking through many sources and dissecting each and every source for valuable pieces of information. Our group researched non-stop during the making of this project, and it was tough for our group, but we managed to extract the information we needed in a quick amount of time. Our project required multidisciplinary research into a few different medical fields such as cryotherapy. Research leads to innovations, and these innovations help the world by solving everyday problems. So, our innovation is the R.I.C.E. cast which makes the lives of athletes easier by helping them recover, effectively.
Lessons Learned
In the endeavor of creating and finishing this project, our group has learned many lessons including how to avoid procrastination, teamwork is the fastest way to get something done, and cooperation with each other is key to the success of any project. With the problem of procrastination, our group figured out that the best way to prevent it is to supervise each other to make sure that everyone is on task. Then we learned about teamwork when we realized that we finished all of our components faster than other groups, by splitting the work up between our members, and at the end combining all of our pieces together. Finally, we learned about cooperation when we had to assign roles in the group, and so we saw that there had to be complete cooperation from each member to finish the project, by having each member do their part.
